Want to get email notices about our events?
This is the right place to sign up for them.
We give you options as to what kinds of notices you prefer.
Our notices fall in three categories:
– Seasonal Calendars
– Special Events
– Before-each-dance reminders.
We usually send calendar emails summarizing our January-May, Summer, and Fall dances around three times a year. These are great for scheduling your fun ahead of time while keeping your email box relatively uncluttered.
Special event emails provide details of our annual Dance Weekend, as well as late-breaking changes on our twice-a-year-at-a-barn dances or weather cancellations. These go out to all who sign up for emails.
You can also choose to get one or more reminders before each monthly dance – one several weeks before the dance, one a week before the dance, and one a day or two before the dance. You can choose to suit your needs. Some people like a minimal email box, others want all the reminders they can get. The exact scheduling and number varies a little, but we try to match up what we send to the preferences you specify.
We don’t sell your information. You can sign up, change your preferences, or unsubscribe from our notices at any time. We use a service called MailChimp to manage the email list and delivery. The signup-button below will take you to a form on MailChimp’s site where you can give us your name and email address and tell us whether you want the seasonal calendars, before dance reminders, or both, and how many of the reminders. You can also choose plain text or HTML (with images) emails. You can always change these settings later using the link in the footer of each email.
Have a friend who wants to get notices, too? Send them the address of this page (http://lawrencebarndance.org/signup) so they can sign themselves up with their preferences.
You can also follow us on Twitter, which includes our most up-to-the-minute posts and notices.
Note: The email notices we send will be from firstname.lastname@example.org. You may want to white-list that address in your spam filter if you have problems with reliable delivery.
